Dr. Andrea Skelin graduated Molecular Biology at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science in 1997. She defended her master’s thesis in 2003 and doctoral thesis in 2010, in Biotechnical Sciences from the University of Zagreb. From November 1997- 2014 she was employed at Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Agriculture where she obtained the title of the assistant professor in the Biotechnical area. She spent as a part of her doctoral training at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Biotechnical Faculty, Zootechnical Department (2007) and at Helmholtz Zentrum Munchen, Germany, Institut for Soil Ecology (2009). She completed a Food safety course (2004) at National Food Safety and Toxicology Center, Michigan State University, USA. As a lecturer at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Agriculture she has coordinated and participated in the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She is the author and co-author of 14 original scientific papers and has actively participated in numerous conferences. In October, 2014 she joined the research team in Genos.
