Dr. Ivan Gudelj graduated in 2013. with a Master of Pharmacy degree from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry and obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry at Faculty of Science in 2017. with dissertation title “Evolutionary and spatio-temporal comparison of the brain N-glycoms”. During his graduate study he was awarded with the Rector’s award in 2012. and Dean’s award in 2013. He has been working on Pain-OMICS project in which glycosylation changes in patients with low-back pain have been studied, as well as on Brain Glycome project which aims to develop methods for analysis of protein glycosylation in the brain. He has experience in analytical glycobiology, particularly in UPLC and MALDI-TOF-MS analysis of N-glycans. His research interests include analysis of brain glycosylation throughout brain regions and development as well as comparison of the brain glycome between different species.
